I have used the Firefox extension: Greasemonkey to add a new fonctionnality to Blogger: emoticons . You can find the script here: emoticons for blogger and how to install it. For the moment the proof :
I think that emoticons are the best way to make understand emotions, thinks and opinions. Since the beginning, I have always thought that the lack of emoticons was the only lack of Blogger... Because Google is not quick enough to fix it, I use Greasemonkey to fix it... Thank you firefox I still have to tweak the code to insert the emoticon just after the cursor, but the script is already usable: ENJOY

Thanks for the script -- it's great.
Do you know how I would add my own emoticons to use with the script? I'm looking for a way to instert stars to use in ratings and reviews.
Thanks.
Can we use emoticons in comments?
:D
Hi Wolverine,
your script for implementing latex on blogger has been very helpful.thanks for that.
But I do not know how to make latex appear on comments page. can you help me out here?
Thank you so much! This is awesome. I just installed it, and it works great!
Love the code, thanks for linking us to it - but a question: what code in Greasemonkey do you have to tweak to allow the emoticons to appear directly after the cursor?
in fact the problem is that you have to find the position of the cursor, which is in a iframe... I have not yet found a good way to do that...
But if some day I can find a solution I will improve the code as soon as possible
Followed your instructions (installing Firefox, Greasemonkey, your script) at it worked great on Firefox. But when I installed the Google Toolbar (needed my Google bookmarks), the emoticon began to show border again! Internet Explorer still shows the emoticon fine (without border), but Firefox now shows the border. Any idea?
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
Thanks for the tip and script ^^
is there a way to use them in comments form
tnks for the tip. it works. but only one problem: every time i add an emoticon it begins on a new row (line), like i've pressed enter (but i didn't press it). what i have to modify? is this the same question that sam notice it?
